On August 20, the Professional Master's Program in Family Health (Profsaúde) and the Brazilian Network for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice in Health (ReBETIS) will host the National Open Conference on Interprofessionality, discussing the theme “Strategies to Strengthen Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice in the SUS.” The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Profsaúde YouTube channel. Simultaneous interpretation in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) will be provided.
Proposed by Profsaúde, the meeting is being held in preparation for the 4th National Conference on Health Workforce Management and Education, organized by Brazil’s Ministry of Health. Among its objectives is the identification of the main challenges faced by SUS professionals, faculty members, and students in the health field, so that these issues can be discussed and incorporated into the National Conference.
The keynote speakers will be Prof. Dr. Sylvia Helena Souza da Silva Batista (Professional Education in/for the SUS) and Prof. Dr. Marina Peduzzi (Interprofessional Practice in the SUS). The session will be moderated by Carla Pacheco Teixeira, National Deputy Academic Coordinator of Profsaúde, and Prof. Dr. Cristiano Gil Regis (ReBETIS).
